"Syrah from Block 5, Landsborough Valley. Destemmed and basket pressed. Spontaneous fermentation in seasoned oak. Left on lees in barrel for ten months. This wine is ready to go straight off the bat. Coats the mouth instantly with savoury fruit notes. There is a pleasing bitterness, think green olives. A gentle grip, from the basket pressing and barrel time, calls out for grilled octopus with a squeeze of lemon perhaps? I would recommend not drinking this wine too cold.
