Das Juice - 2022 Das Juice Prosecco Pet Nat
Couple of wire crossing terms in this next line, but don’t worry, you will get it. Das Juice Prosecco is made as a Pet Nat from the traditional grape used in Prosecco production; Glera. Still with us? Never mind. Bright, lemon pithy, green apple and clean. Perfect for spritzes or as a refreshing aperitif. Das Juice is a partnership between long time friends and business partners, Tom Sheer and James Audas. The two run LO-FI Imports, a wine importing company that sources rare and unique natural wines from across the globe. In terms of winemaking acumen, James runs A.R.C. wines, based out of Gippsland and Tom, well, Tom drinks a lot of wine. The range is meant to not only fill gaps in the easy drinkers, sustainable market, but is a fun and uplifting project for the pair.

BK Wines - 2023 Pétillant Naturel Pinot Noir
This lovely pet-nat from BK is 100% Pinot from a vineyard in Lenswood. It's fermented in a ceramic egg after being whole bunch pressed, then bottled up to do its thing for a bit. There’s a lot to love here, chiffon cake, fat strawberries, chantilly cream. Dusted with rose sugar. Not sweet, but with all those fruity florals we love in Pinot. Brendan Keys of BK Wines is part of the ecosystem that makes up the wonderful Adelaide Hills wine community. Though his wines are say, less dogmatic than others in the Hills, Brendon's ethos is true - biodynamically farmed fruit where he can, fermented with wild yeasts, unfined and unfiltered. His ex-pro skater past…skates through the wines. They’re fun, complex, wild. BK leads by example and many others follow - a true leader for the region.

Giovanni Armani Giorgio - 2022 Venduto Bolle Rosa
After much consideration, Giovanni Armani Giorgio have released their second petillant. Joyous day. It’s a pink flamingo of a wine slurping on a strawberry and blood orange granita. Juicy, clean, effervescent. The things that Aglianico and Malvasia Fina do together will make you blush. Drink it from a plastic cup on a nudist beach, pronto.  A winemaker and a graphic designer walk into a bar, what could go wrong? Nothing in this case, just an array of casual, Italian-style wines initially designed to be sold out of the boot of a worn-out Fiat 500. Steve Crawford (Frederick Stevenson Wines) and Carlo Jensen (Pink Moon Saloon, Gondola Gondola) are the duo behind it, the winemaker and the graphic designer respectively. They make wine in a church near the Adelaide CBD, using Italian varietals from some of the best South Australian vineyards. Affordable, gluggable, and built for a good time – Italian style.
